Sui and Tang Dynasties:

In the Sui Dynasty, Dongguan County was abolished, and the jurisdiction was incorporated into Nanhai County of Guangzhou, and Bao 'an County was also changed to belong to Nanhai County, and Hong Kong was still under the administration of Bao 'an County.

In the second year of Tang to De (757), Bao 'an County was renamed, while Hong Kong remained under.

Song and Yuan Dynasties: A large number of mainland people moved to Hong Kong, which promoted the development of Hong Kong's economy and culture.

Ming and Qing dynasties：

During the reign of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, part of Xin 'an County was set up from Dongguan, which later became Hong Kong.

From the first year of Zong Wanli (1573) until the 21st year of Qing Daoguang (1841), the area was under the jurisdiction of Xin 'an County, Guangzhou Prefecture.

Dongguan Shilong Railway Station opened to connect with Hong Kong business exchange

In 1911, the Guangzhou-Kowloon Railway was opened to traffic, and Shilong Railway Station was opened at the same time, known as Shilong Central Station. Hong Kong's major business firms came to Dongguan to open branches, the province and Hong Kong business market and cultural exchanges, passenger and freight connectivity is also more convenient.
